One of the greatest benefits of living in Laurel Park is the proximity to downtown Sarasota. The best of everything Sarasota has to offer is only a short walk or bike ride from your house or apartment. Like organic food? Want to support local growers? Every Saturday throughout the year, the Sarasota Farmers Market continues its tradition of serving the community with local produce, plants, prepared foods, and the unique craftsmanship of local artisans. Spreading out from the intersection of Main Street and Lemon Avenue, the Farmers Market is open from 7am to 1pm, rain or shine, and currently features 55 vendors and 5000 square feet of produce and plants. It’s a great place to shop, stroll, sip a coffee, and meet your neighbors.
